Amanda K Rogers

A PERSONAL NOTE
I believe that ultimate wellness encompasses 8 different aspects of life. Wellness is more than just health. The model I use in therapy includes nutritional, physical, emotional, social, spiritual, environmental, occupational, and intellectual/mental wellness. This brings a holistic approach to evidence-based theories which helps create a supportive environment conducive to growth.

It is often difficult to identify where we struggle and how to blend these 8 branches to find homeostasis and balance. My goal as a therapist is to help bridge the gap and provide a safe environment for individuals to explore their unique therapeutic journey. Feel the difference that the combination of bio-individual nutrition, and traditional therapy can make in your life.
ABOUT
Amanda earned her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling and Neuropsychology from Long Island University with a focus in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. During her education, she received invaluable guidance and mentorship training under Dr. Thomas Nardi, a student of Albert Ellis’s who helped birth Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. Continuing her education and following her passion, Amanda graduated as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner from the Nutritional Therapy Association. She has developed specific tools for managing and assessing the body’s nutritional deficiencies that often impact its' natural homeostasis and interfere with daily mood and stress management. When Amanda became a mother she recognized the gap in health offered and the lack of support and education that postpartum mothers receive. This drove her to develop a nutrition and supplement program specific to resetting hormonal imbalances while treating and supporting the mental health of the individual. Amanda has also received a certification in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction through the University of Massachusetts. She addresses the body’s innate intelligence, while providing education to promote stability and wellness.

"It's not too difficult to get the skeletons out of the closet with people, but to get the gold out is a different matter. That is therapy. Psychology is the Art of finding the gold of the spirit."
Robert Johnson
